Literary experience one. 9/22

I wanted to post something about the consequences of rebellion in both Richards life. (we wrote about this in class). I believe that the biggest consequence of rebellion in Richard's life is the issue of his family not respecting him. When he begins to question his mother's/grandmother's/aunt's guidance, he is punished by being pushed further and further away, and his family putting a great distance between him and themselves. Not only will the family attempt to emotionally punish Richard, but they will also physically punish him when he does not conform to his wishes (whipping him).
