Research paper.
As I've been glancing through articles for our upcoming research paper relating to ethics, I've been very interested in some of the things I've found about video games. The majority of lawsuits seem to relate to our freedom of speech. Some are being censored by U.S courts. The side of the argument which is being censored, state that video games are an art form, and that when the courts censor them, the first amendment is being violated. There are also those (Jack Thomson, a seemingly infamous lawyer for making ridiculous claims against them, and failing in his goals for complete video game censors) who argue that video games are dangerous to society. It seems that only recently it has become a problem. I'll probably end up doing my paper on this topic, merely because video games being an art form is not something considered before. It's a thought provoking idea, and makes me wonder what else could be considered an "art form".
