Shakespeare

Well, we've been reading one of Shakespeare's works in class, and I felt that I needed to comment on his writing style. The humor (after finding things which I could easily interpret) is truly similar to today's humor. I've noticed that his humor is primarily through sexual references ands jests. In today's culture, we can find that the most popular movies in the comedy genre (Superbad, 40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up) are similar to the comedy provided in Shakespeare. It seems as if the "hit" movies can all be referenced back to the 16 century. They use the same sexual humar, and a merely presented with different language. The English language has evolved over time, so current day movies are easier for modern man to understand (Shakespeare obviously needs interpretation).
